All Newton’s Musical Memory Café is an informal social gathering for people with cognitive changes and their care partners. Guests are welcome regardless of diagnosis. Attendees can connect with fellow community members while enjoying a musical performance by some of All Newton Music School's outstanding faculty—tea, coffee, and treats to follow!

The Café is hosted and facilitated by board certified music therapist Cheyenne Mize and co-hosted by pianist Kim Petot. Join us in making a joyful noise!

From the fiery rhythms of Spain and the irresistible pulse of tango to the elegance of the Baroque and the expressive intensity of the 20th century, this recital brings together four composers with four utterly distinctive musical voices.

Featuring music by Falla, Piazzolla, Telemann, and Shostakovich, this diverse program explores the surprising colors and possibilities of two violins and guitar: dazzling virtuosity, soulful melodies, rhythmic flair, and unexpected connections across centuries and musical traditions.

Join ANMS cello faculty Sara Wilkins and Aaron Packard, violin, for Music of Années Folles: Stripped Bare, an afternoon of music by Maurice Ravel, Arthur Honegger, and Bohuslav Martinů. Dépouillement, roughly translating to “bareness,” is often used to describe the modernist aesthetic of fashion during the Années Folles years in France, between 1922 and 1932, which stripped away the extravagances of pre-war popular dress. With each of these pieces being written during the Années Folles, we celebrate the streamlined simplicity of these fantastic French composers.
